- Reggie Harris,

What particular experience has contributed to your desire to with a progressive organization and participate in the NLP? What do you hope to gain from participating?
I have always had a passion for civil rights. Not the political rights as many think today (minority rights), but in the true sense of the word. I am passionate about people being afforded every opportunity that is promised and guaranteed under our constitution. As a resident of the inner city I see how various civil rights are being violated and not highlighted, things as simple as the right not to have sewage accumulating in park to the right to refuse a police search without cause. I have traveled and lived all over the world, as a result I have learned to observe the ways that other societies and cultures worked and have been able to borrow ideas. I am a very passionate person especially when it comes to my community and this passion will transfer directly to my projects.
