2008 New Leaders Summer Interns

CPL’s New Leaders Internship Program brings passionate young people of color, women and LGBT youth to Washington DC for paid, on-the-job experience in a top progressive organization, leadership training, coaching, networking and community building.

Last year's class represented 19 states, 33 colleges, and a wide range of backgrounds. They have worked on issues on their campuses and in their communities ranging from immigration reform to interfaith dialogue to access to higher education to LGBT equality to environmental justice. Click on the individual photos below to learn more about each of our amazing New Leaders. You can also meet the 2007 class and the 2006 class.
