- Emanuel Yekutiel,
2008 New Leaders Summer Intern
What are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about affecting real tangible change with the tools I have at my disposal.

You're stranded on a deserted island. What is one book or album that you can't live without?
I couldn't live without Siddhartha by Herman Hesse and an Album of all of Rachmaninoff's works.

What do you hope to take away from your experience as a CPL New Leader?
My diverse background as an Afghani-American orthodox Jew has allowed me to look at the world through a variety of lenses. I was lucky enough to receive an incredible and mind-opening education in high school that pushed me to look critically at the world around me while valuing what makes me an individual. The formative experiences at my high school have given me a great desire to learn about others and to engage in pertinent dialogue. I saw the New Leaders program as an opportunity to indulge in both.
